Dr. Dwyer is an Assistant Professor of Neurology specializing in Brain Injury and Neurorehabilitation at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained her medical degree at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She pursued clinical training in Neurology at Boston University, followed by a joint Veterans Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine and Neurorehabilitation. Dr. Dwyer is director of the Vascular Brain Injury Program at Boston University’s post-acute care affiliate, Encompass Braintree and a member of the Encompass Braintree Medical Executive Committee. She is a member of the ACRM Disorders of Consciousness Task Force, the AAN Neural Repair and Rehabilitation section and the ACRM Cognitive Rehabilitation Task Force.
