Heather A Edwards, MD, is a head and neck surgeon and Director of the Head and Neck Surgery Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Edwards is also an assistant professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She specializes in the surgical treatment of cancers of the head and neck region, including minimally invasive surgical approaches and complex microvascular reconstruction after tumor excision. Her research interests include the impact of the oral microbiome on carcinogenesis and response to cancer therapies, and functional outcomes after reconstructive head and neck surgery.
